Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of BuyDataset.com, including dataset browsing, previews, purchases, downloads, custom dataset requests, and related services. By using the site, submitting a request, or purchasing a dataset, you agree to these Terms.

If you use BuyDataset.com for a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.

BuyDataset.com provides downloadable business datasets built from public records, official open data, public license or permit records, public business registrations, and similar legally usable business information. Examples may include North Carolina statewide business datasets, city-level lead packs, professional category datasets, or a custom Network Package prepared for a buyer's requested geography or business niche.

Exports may include CSV, Excel, Google Sheets-compatible CSV, and PDF summary formats. Available fields vary by source and may include business name, category, public address, city, state, ZIP, phone, website, license type, source, freshness date, and notes.

Datasets are assembled from third-party public sources. BuyDataset.com does not control the completeness, accuracy, update cadence, field naming, or availability of those sources. A government portal, licensing board, open-data publisher, or other source may change records, remove records, limit access, modify terms, or contain errors.

Source attribution and freshness information are provided to help buyers evaluate the data, but no dataset should be treated as a legal certification, professional license verification, credit report, consumer report, employment screening file, medical directory, or official government record.

Standard packages may include Starter, Growth, Pro, and other named packages shown at checkout. Package row counts are maximum delivery quantities, not guarantees that every dataset has every package available. The checkout page will only enable packages that can be delivered from the selected dataset or buyer-specific remaining rows.

Some packages may include limited bonus rows when the dataset size is slightly above a package threshold. Bonus rows are a courtesy and may be capped. If a dataset has additional rows that do not fit an available package, BuyDataset.com may offer a paid completion add-on based on the remaining row count.

A paid completion add-on is calculated dynamically at checkout and is separate from the base package price. When selected, the order row limit is increased to include the remaining rows currently available to that order, subject to prior-purchase exclusion and dataset availability.

BuyDataset.com attempts to avoid sending duplicate rows to returning buyers by using the buyer email address and, when available, checkout IP address. Buyers should use the same email address for future purchases of the same dataset to help unlock fresh remaining rows.

This duplicate-exclusion feature is provided as a practical convenience and may not be perfect. If a buyer uses a different email, different network, VPN, proxy, or shared IP address, the system may not always identify prior purchases or may identify a prior purchase based on network characteristics.

Buyers are responsible for using datasets lawfully and responsibly. You agree not to use BuyDataset.com data for unlawful discrimination, harassment, fraud, spam, doxing, identity theft, credential attacks, consumer credit eligibility, employment eligibility, tenant screening, insurance underwriting, medical eligibility, or any regulated purpose requiring a consumer report or equivalent authorization.

If you use purchased data for marketing or outreach, you are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and platform rules, including CAN-SPAM, TCPA, state privacy laws, opt-out requirements, calling restrictions, email service provider rules, and any source-specific restrictions.

You may not resell, publish, scrape, mirror, or redistribute purchased datasets as a competing database or marketplace without written permission from BuyDataset.com.

Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment processor shown at checkout. BuyDataset.com does not store full card numbers. Prices are shown before payment and may change over time.

After successful payment, the system generates a time-limited download link and may email the link to the buyer. Buyers are responsible for entering a valid email address and downloading files before the link expires.

Taxes, if applicable, may be calculated or collected by the payment processor or handled separately depending on the jurisdiction and configuration at the time of purchase.

Because datasets are digital goods delivered after payment, purchases are generally non-refundable once a download link has been issued or files have been accessed. However, BuyDataset.com may provide a replacement file, store credit, or refund at its discretion if a technical issue prevents delivery or a dataset materially differs from the checkout description.

Data quality concerns must be reported promptly with enough detail for review. Normal public-record limitations, missing optional fields, stale source records, duplicate public filings, or changes in third-party data after purchase do not automatically qualify for a refund.

Custom requests, including custom geographies, custom categories, enrichment work, or special packages such as a Network Package, may require manual review, source availability checks, and separate pricing. A request submission does not guarantee acceptance, timeline, exclusivity, or specific data volume.

Any custom quote may include assumptions, limits, source constraints, and estimated delivery timing. If a paid custom project is accepted, additional written terms or invoice notes may apply.

BuyDataset.com provides data products and related source summaries. It does not provide legal, compliance, tax, marketing, medical, licensing, or professional advice. Buyers should consult qualified advisors before using data in regulated workflows or high-risk contexts.

The service and datasets are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuyDataset.com disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuyDataset.com will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, lost-profit, lost-revenue, lost-data, business interruption, or reputational damages. BuyDataset.com's aggregate liability for a claim will not exceed the amount paid by the buyer for the specific dataset or service giving rise to the claim.

BuyDataset.com may update datasets, features, prices, packages, source coverage, policies, and these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on the site with a new effective date. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
